When I was young I was always a big fan of going to cinema and catching a short animation at the beginning of the main feature. This is something Pixar seem to have embraced. As I got older it seemed to happen less and less. As the ratings of the films I went to see went up the likelihood of a light-hearted animation to entice the audience went down. That was until the revival of the animated title sequence!
I recently watched a beautiful video interviewing illustrator and animator Pascal Campion. It is such a engaging and poignant watch that I had to share it. Enjoy!
This weekend Kyri and I headed down to check out the Mail Me Art Exhibition in Stockwell. The exhibition has a very simple theme; artist from all over mail artwork on envelops, postcards, boxes and even wood. It has attracted some top illustrators in the past such as Catalina Estrada, Michael Slack and Jon Burgerman.

1. Pepsi
This boring and pointless re-vamp surely puts Pepsi on the top of our pile. The old logo was a classic, a true icon of our times and to see it go for something as uninspired as this is a real shame.
After all the politics we have posted recently, I felt a wind down was in order. Here is the video for ‘Look’ from French musician Sébastien Tellier. The video was created by Mrzyk & Moriceau and has an amazing hypnotic quality to it. Sit back and enjoy.
The Digital Economy Bill has entered the ‘wash up’ stage, with the MP taking the ‘Shoot first, ask questions later’ approach. Opting to pass the bill with all it’s flaws and amend it later. Knowing our government, this approach isn’t filling me with reassurance.
