The Mixtape Club

I for one still have 100s, litrally 100s, of mixtapes that I made in the years foregone. I loved every aspect of it. So I was very happy to stumble on an organization who share my enthusiasm, The mixtape Club.

It’s a great little site where 10 different creatives have each compile a mixtape of 10 songs. Every single mixtape on the site is enjoyable and the perfect background music to work to! Updated monthly it’s definitely worth a bookmark. Check it out!

Nico189 / Pantonecans

This has been popping up around the web quite a bit recently. It’s a concept project by Italian Graphic Designer / Graffiti Artist, Nico189. It is such a simple idea but one that is getting a lot of good response. I don’t think it will be long before we see Pantone, Inc. ‘adopting’ it.

It gives me visions of smart-laced senior graphic designers running to the streets with their pantonecans bombing empty billboard spaces.

You can check out more of Nico189′s stuff on his Behance page.

Art & Copy

Whilst on looking at some new trailers, I found a trailer for ‘Art & Copy‘, a new documentary about American advertising.

‘ART & COPY is a powerful new film about advertising and inspiration. Directed by Doug Pray (SURFWISE, SCRATCH, HYPE!), it reveals the work and wisdom of some of the most influential advertising creatives of our time — people who’ve profoundly impacted our culture, yet are virtually unknown outside their industry.’

The Film is currently doing the rounds at film festivals and getting a lot of attention. Sadly it looks like their are no plans on it being screened in the UK, as of yet. Most probably have to wait for the DVD. It’s definitely one to look out for.

hahahahah

This made me laugh up to ‘hah’

Oscar Diaz’s Ink Calendar

The area of London of which we are based, Seven Sisters, is not known for it’s design credentials. That’s why we were very surprised to find out we had a very talented neighbour. His name is Oscar Diaz and below is his Ink Calendar; the bottle has enough ink to last the month, and is diffused progressively day by day. Simply amazing.
